The renaissance started with Miuccia Prada

The renaissance started with Miuccia Prada, who sent her models out in lace for autumn/winter 2008 - and she didn't even like the fabric. What was standout about it was that she took pretty and feminine, and turned it into  http://www.homecomingdressescheap.com/blue-mac-duggal-81702n-homecoming-beaded-mini-dress-p-134.html , stronger, edgier: her lace came not only in black, but bright orange, brown and blue. It was completely different to the stuff you usually see at weddings and christenings - and the retailers loved it; that winter, you couldn't move for the mountains of lace on the high street.

With Ball State beauties in abundance, it is often hard to stand out among a sea of stylish students. Apparel design sophomore Annie Dulhanty stands out by strategically using oxblood, a dark brownish-red color.“I am so obsessed with  http://www.homecomingdressescheap.com/red-mac-duggal-81702n-homecoming-beaded-mini-dress-p-133.html   It matches with anything and is so dark yet extremely bold,” Dulhanty said, as she described her current color obsession. Dulhanty uses oxblood-colored boots to give her outfit depth and stand out from the traditional colored combat boots seen all over campus.

“I think that my willingness to take risks and step outside of my comfort zone, as well as what society believes is right, sets me apart from other people,” Dulhanty said about strategies she uses to stand out. This risk-taking often comes in the form of mixing and matching styles that many people would consider polar opposites.“A lot of the time I mix pretty, preppy and boho with  http://www.homecomingdressescheap.com/jovani-9426-ruffed-mini-cocktail-nude-dress-p-132.html , such as studs, combat boots and spiked or skull accessories. Alexander McQueen is my fashion god, so my style always has a touch of edge or darkness,” Dulhanty said.Dulhanty also has plans to stand out as temperatures drop this fall by adding voluminous outerwear, a fitted feminine suit used for mixing and matching and layers to her all-inclusive wardrobe.
